The virtual Salt Lake Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZLC ARTCC) covers one of the largest areas among all center facilities in the  48 United States.  Bordering Denver, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Oakland, Seattle, and Winnipeg virtual ARTCC centers, ZLC offers to the virtual pilot and controller many variables in weather, terrain and air traffic.

Our Sundance Film Festival event yesterday was a great success. ZLC controllers handled 100++ aircraft in ZLC airspace during the 5 hour event and handled a 180 deg wind shift requiring a change from Landing South to Landing North during the event.
